Valentine's Day!

Here are a few things that might peak your interest for Valentine's Day - either for yourself, or someone you love!

First, we have the "Singing the Blues" bracelet. I had a few freshwater pearls leftover from another project, and wanted to use them, and when I saw them with these crystals, the silver-plated beads were a natural fit!
Continuing the trend with Freshwater Pearls, is this continuous loop necklace in Dark Peacock. This necklace can be looped around your neck 2-3 times, depending on your size.

And to finish of the Freshwater Pearl trend, here is the latest - Black Cherry and Sterling Bracelet. The Black Cherry Dyed pearls are accented with Swarovski Crystal and Sterling silver, and finished with a toggle clasp.

I think these earrings speak for themselves. I handcrafted the hearts with polymer clay, and accented them with Swarovski Crystals. The posts are sterling silver as well.

Happy Valentine's Day, and Happy shopping!! In a few days, I'll spotlight some things in other shops that you might enjoy this holiday!

So, what did I make with that wrapping paper?

Well, this, of course!

I also have about 30 different red beads ready to be glazed, but I have been sidelined with a cold that has been making its way through our house.

If you head on over to www.pattysprettythings.etsy.com, you will see all of the other things that I've been working on. My favorite is the pearl necklace, and I think it's my best photography to date!

A new year, a new start!

As it is a new year, I figured it was time to restart this blog. And what better way, than to announce my newest project - PAPER BEADS!!! I have a lot of leftover wrapping paper from the holidays, and thought it would make some neat looking beads.

I've already started, and while they are taking me a while (I've never made them before), they look pretty neat! Of course, I will still be working with my polymer clay, and other beads, but I wanted to branch out a bit, and be a little "green."

I have a lot of ideas in my head for this year, so I'll let you in on a few of them - a lovely pearl necklace with peacock colored freshwater pearls, a few cuff bracelets with different types of clay beads, and something (I'm not sure what, yet) with Leopardskin Jasper. Keep checking back, and I promise I'll be better with this blog. In a few days, I'll share some of my favorite products from some other Etsy shops I've purchased from lately!
